Unser neues Familienmitglied Eva kommt aus der Cattitudes Cattery, in den Niederlanden, nahe Rotterdam und eigentlich hatten wir schon im vergangenen Jahr ein Auge, bzw zwei auf die süße Maus geworfen.
Leider war der Zeitpunkt im Herbst jedoch nicht richtig für unsere Zucht, so dass wir versprachen, uns für den nächsten Wurf in diesem Jahr zu melden.
Als wir dann dieses Jahr wieder schrieben und nach der diesjährigen Wurfplanung anfragten, sagte uns Ria, dass sie Eva behalten hätte und sie mit Peter besprechen würde, ob wir sie bekommen können.
Zu unserer übergroßen Freude sagte Peter ja, und so war es beschlossene Sache, dass wir Eva zu uns holen würden.
Einen Tag vor dem geplanten Abholtermin jedoch hielt Corona bei uns Einzug und damit war klar, dass wir nicht würden fahren können, um sie zu holen.
Das Angebot unserer ältesten Tochter Lisa, dass sie doch mit ihrem Freund Dennis nach Mönchengladbach fahren könnte, wo wir den Treffpunkt geplant hatten, zog uns erst mal quasi die Schuhe aus.
Tatsächlich begaben sich die zwei auf den Höllentrip, um Eva für uns zu holen und damit machten sie uns eine riesige Freude!
Jetzt ist sie also da - unser kleiner Schatz - und erobert Stück für Stück die Herzen aller tierischen Mitbewohner... unsere hatte sie eh schon im Handumdrehen.
Sie ist mutig und selbstsicher und dabei so lieb und sanft, wie man kaum eine Kombination findet. Wir sind sehr sehr glücklich und danken Ria und Peter unendlich für diesen besonderen Schatz!
Our new family member Eva comes from the Cattitudes Cattery that is situated in the Netherlands, near Rotterdam and originally we already had had an eye on her last autumn.
Unfortunately then the time wasn't right in our cattery to join a new family member, so we agreed on getting back to them next spring.
When we got in touch again this year then and asked for their litter plans, Risa said that they had kept Eva and that she would talk to Peter if he would be willing to let her go.
To our incredible joy Peter agreed and we fixed the time when to meet and fetch her.
One day before that special day though Corona moved into our house and it was clear that we would not be able to travel.
Then our daughter Lisa made the incredible offer that SHE could go and fetch her - together with her boyfriend Dennis and the two stood to their idea and went to Mönchengladbach to fetch Eva. An incredibly long trip - 1200 km - back and forth and Power-Dennis drove them all!
And now our sweet darling is here with us now and is conquering the hearts of our fourlegged familiy members - our hearts she had in a heartbeat!
She is a wonderful girl, being so self-secure and brave and at the same time sweet and tender, a combination you rarely find. We are incredibly thankful for this darling, dear Ria and Peter and will treat her as the Queen that she is.
